Abstract
Robot will provide more and more services to people in daily life, and will become the other kind of citizen in a city. In this talk, I will first discuss challenges we are facing to make robot clever enough to provide such daily services, and then present our two recent works, one is fine-grained object recognition, the other is caging loop computation for robot grasping, both are key intelligences for robot to have human-like interaction with 3D real environment. Demonstrations show that it is promising that a versatile robot will work around us in the near future.
